Danny Garfield


Danny Garfield is an independent filmmaker based in NYC, working as an editor and in post-production. 

Some of his past work includes Sundance nominated film Omniboat (2020);  DocNYC selection The Great Green Wall  (2018) and Night Fight (TBD). He has worked on PBS series Frontline: A Nation in Turmoil (2020); as well as American Masters: Walter Winchell, The Power of Gossip (2020). His short-form work includes music videos for MGMT, and The War on Drugs as well as commercials for brands like Caddillac, Balvenie Whisky, and Madison Square Garden.

Garfield’s film Living My Best Life In Hudson Yards (2019) has screend at Braizers Film Festival, Montreal International Film Festival, and Bodega Film Festival, among others. His most recent film, The Lineage of Split Rocks (2023) is soon to be released.   

Garfield holds a degree in Physics from Tufts University. Informed by his scientific training,  his filmmaking maps the emotional-systems and cultural practices, emergent from life on a conneced and exploited globe. He aims to communicate these new forms and feelings in hopes of fostering more effective and meaningful conversation in the face of unstable paradigms.
